Vascular Laser

Vascular lasers are one of the most advanced laser therapies on the market and have been designed specifically for the treatment of vascular skin conditions such as broken capillaries, port wine stain birthmarks, veins and rosacea. The difference is that it combines two different wave lengths which allows practitioners to effectively treat vascular conditions with fewer treatments than other lasers on the market.

Dermcosmesis has just purchased this award winning vascular laser, providing state of the art laser treatment that can treat a variety of skin types and vascular conditions using unique high power green laser to precisely treat visible vessels. The laser has the flexibility to treat any cases, from superficial and deep vascular conditions to benign pigmented lesions. This treatment shows gradual improvement and needs repetitive sessions for the best result.

HOW IT WORKS

Vascular lasers are able to selectively target abnormal blood vessels in the skin whilst minimising potential damage to the surrounding areas. The Laser gently heats the upper dermis well below the skin surface, where collagen regrowth is stimulated. The new collagen growth reduces fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, pore size and improves skin tone and texture. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. The laser delivers a unique, high power green laser that eliminates the abnormal blood vessels and pigmented lesions in the skin.

The laser has both a short wavelength (532nm) and longer wavelength (1064nm) with long pulse duration which can heat and eliminate melanin and haemoglobin particles in the problematic skin. The benefit of laser is that the treatment can be highly adjusted to ensure that the physician is delivering a level of treatment that specifically matches the clients’ skin condition.
The short pulses mode is suitable for superficial blemishes, such as small lesions and skin discoloration, while longer pulses for deeper vascular conditions, such as leg veins and port wine stains.

What Results to Expect

It also helps sun damage, including superficial and deep pigmentations, as well as superficial blemishes, and even scars. The laser treats these conditions by administering an unique high power green laser that is absorbed by the abnormal blood vessels in the skin. The laser heats the abnormal vessels until they are removed. At the end of the treatment, client’s natural skin tone and colour are restored.
